Family members last saw LaQuanta on Sunday, December 7, 2003, when she came over to her mother�s house. She left late that night, at approximately 11:30 p. m. with a man driving a green Ford Taurus or Caprice car. Riley was reported missing by her mother to Montgomery police 72 hours later. Riley graduated in 2002 from Redan High School in Stone Mountain, Ga. LaQuanta was moving out of an apartment in Eufaula where she�d been living with a high school friend until an apparent disagreement. She planned to head back to Montgomery to live with her great-aunt, Katie Smith. About two days before LaQuanta disappeared she went to Eufaula for the weekend to collect some of her belongings as she planned to move out of her apartment. That same day, LaQuanta called from Eufaula upset and asked her mother to pick her up. She wasn�t able to, but someone else picked her up. Riley's family believes she was the victim of a crime. They don't believe Riley would have left and not told anyone where she was going. About two weeks after she disappeared Riley's mother received a disturbing telephone message from Riley.
