Nugent was last seen at a birthday party at the Rolling Green Estates apartments in Syracuse. She left the party between 2 and 3 a. m on Tuesday, February 7th, 2007. Her boyfriend said she came home and left for work at 5 a. m. But Nugent, who works for Express Personnel Services at Syracuse Stamping, never showed up. Sharon's car was found covered in snow in the parking lot of a Crowley Street apartment complex on February 10th. Sharon has three children. James Guilford was found guilty of second degree murder and has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the February 2007 death of his girlfriend, Sharon Nugent. Nugent's body was never found, but a mattress soaked in her blood led to Guilford's arrest. Police said Guilford made incriminating statements about her disappearance. Prosecutors say James Guilford bludgeoned 26-year-old Sharon Nugent to death and then incinerated her body. Police found blood in the master bedroom of the home the couple shared and a bloodstained hammer. Sharon's remains have never been found.
