Mr. Fowler was last seen June 24, 1999 in Smiths Grove, Kentucky. Greg Fowler went fishing at the Barren River Lake June 19, 1999, and was reported missing on June 20, 1999. Fowler's boat was located a few days later near the 101 bridge on the Barren River. Fowler's van was found at Osborne Ford a few miles up river.
