Maura was last seen at approximately 7:00 pm in the vicinity of Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire. She was involved in a single vehicle accident. A neighbor called out to her to offer help, but in fewer than 10 minutes, she was gone. Murray, a nursing student at Umass Amherst, packed a bag, e-mailed her teachers she'd be out of class for a week and took off in her car in February of 2004. She didn't tell anyone where she was going. A search on her computer revealed she'd been looking up rental properties in Vermont where her family vacationed, but they don't think she made it. She ended up crashing her car along a road in Haverhill, New Hampshire. When police arrived, her vehicle was locked and Maura was gone. It was pitch black and 10 degrees outside.
