Phyllis Powell was last seen on January 11, 1963 in Woodland, North Carolina. She left her home on Ashe Street to play. At 11:00am Phyllis was watching TV at 310 Ashe Street, by 12:00 Phyllis was gone. The last sighting was Phyllis skipping down Ashe Street headed towards NC35. The street at that time only had eight houses on it and you could see from one end of the street to the other.The area was surrounded by houses owned mostly by family and friends.Despite a massive search on the ground and in the air involving over 200 individuals, there were no clues discovered on the little girl�s whereabouts, other than a set of small footprints found in an area bordered by a thick woods about one mile from where she went missing.There are no known photographs of Phyllis Powell.
