Rachel was last seen on October 18, 2003 in Elkton, Virginia at approximately 6:00 PM in the parking lot of the volunteer fire station. Her friends saw her get into her Dodge Neon and drive away as it got dark. It was later discovered that the lead detective on her case had been having an affair with her, and was the father of her unborn child. Her disappearance is now being investigated as a homicide.
