Kimberly Abercrombie left her residence stating she would return at an unknown time, but she never returned. Her vehicle was located was located the same day, at the park and pool at Johnsville along Kentucky 9 and was searched by Kentucky State Police after the missing report. Kimberly's husband, Nick Abercrombie was deployed to Afghanistan when she went missing. Her family fears something dire may have happened, because Abercrombie would not have abandoned her young son. However, it was not unusual for her not to be in contact with anyone for a week or two at a time. According to her Facebook page, Kimberly last posted comments on June 5, 2013, and was awaiting the arrival of a new litter of puppies. Abercrombie was facing legal problems in Campbell County Circuit Court when she disappeared. There has been an active warrant out on Abercrombie, on heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia possession charges since July 2013. Abercrombie has ties to Augusta, Ripley, Ohio, and once lived in the state of Washington.
