Helm, a mother of two, was last seen in the area of Kearsage Mill Court near the Drum Forebay exit of Interstate 80, just east of Colfax on January 16. She was staying with friends in the Alta area, which is about 4,000 elevation. She was home alone and apparently went for a walk. She has not been seen or heard from since. She did not take anything with her, nor was she current on her diabetic medication.
