Bi-polar, Daniel is not taking his required medication for the illness. He was manic when last seen, very elated, no anger.
Danny's family talked to him on May 28, 1999. On May 29, 1999 Danny's wallet and car were found on a hiking trail in the Four Peaks Wilderness area of Tonto National Forest, about an hour away from Phoenix, Arizona. Danny is a daytime hiker, but he did not have his hiking gear with him; he left with only a sleeping bag. His family is not sure why Daniel went into the Four Peaks Wilderness. He has done some hiking in the Phoenix urban area like Camelback Mountain or Squaw Peak, but he had not been to Four Peaks since he was a boy. Maricopa Sheriff Deputies have searched the area without results. Danny is very intelligent and was studying to be an astrophysicist. He is a talented pencil portrait artist and plays classical music guitar. He's taken Karate lessons.
